Things could soon change in Luxembourg regarding tattoos and piercings. A vote will take place on Wednesday on the subject.
Bill 7000 will be voted on in the st patrick's day clothes House of Representatives on Wednesday with the aim of providing a legal framework for activities such as tattooing and piercing.
More changes could come
if the bill is passed in the House of Commons on Wednesday. Among the most important:
the legal age for tattooing or piercing will be set at 16,
between the ages of 16 and 18, will require parental permission to get a tattoo or piercing,
"cutting" and "branding" methods will not be allowed for minors,
Tattoo artists will be required to follow a hygiene and hygiene training course of at least 21 hours.

Other regulations are also planned
such as banning tattoo artists and nose piercing people from performing techniques such as "snake tongue" and the filing of bomber jacket teeth into vampire fangs. If the bill is passed, these procedures will have to be performed by medical professionals.
Ultimately, only one practice will remain legal for minors to be able to get their ears pierced without restrictions on their age.
By itself
this bill fills a legal void that exists in Luxembourg law. If the bill passes, the people most affected will obviously be professionals in the tattoo industry.
