It all started when the Aesir gods gathered to party in the palace of Aegir - the king of the sea, the best brewer of the nine worlds, only Kvasir wine could not be brewed. The group of guests that day was crowded, and full of big ears and big faces: there was the head couple Odin and Frigg, there was Tyr - the brave god of war, the separated couple Njord and Skadi, and Bragi - the god of skull canvas art poetry. ca - accompanied by his wife, Idunn, the goddess who took care of the apples of youth, two brothers Freyr and Freya, accompanied by two of Freyr's servants, Byggvir and Beyla, including Vidar, the god of vengeance. Thor asked to be late due to business in Jotunnheim, but his wife Sif came to reserve the seat first. Even the noble Elves from Alfheim attended. Even Loki came (not sure if he was invited)
The banquet had just been lavishly served
and Aegir also sent two servants, Fimafeng and Eldir, to serve at the table. The gods began to feast, they toasted each other, praised each other. Very fun atmosphere.
But that's not what Loki likes. He was sick of the gods' beautiful words, and decided to do something Loki-style fun. And so the Fraudster pulled out the Fimafeng death skewer. And as a result, Loki was banished from Aegir's palace by the gods.
But with his nature, Loki did not leave, but stood outside the door. Meanwhile, the gods believed they had banished the threat, and continued to eat and drink.
Loki stood outside the door
watching when Eldir was out, then grabbed him and questioned him about what the gods were saying in the palace. Eldir replied that they were praising each other's treasures and abilities, and the only thing they spoke badly of - was Loki.
Loki smiled. "Then I'll go in. I can't miss this wonderful feast. I will fill their hearts with hatred and pain. I will pour into their cups the most terrible poisons."
"They will smack you in the face with your own insults," Eldir replied.
"Be careful, Eldir, if you want to fight me with words. No matter what you do, I'll give you double."
Then Loki pushed Eldir aside
pushed open the door and entered the banquet hall. Immediately, all voices were silenced.
Loki smiled, walked to the center of the great hall and shouted "I am Skywalker, and I am thirsty. Aegir's journey to the palace is long. Isn't there a god willing to bring me a beer?" Loki glanced around the table, then continued, "Why are you so quiet, you pathetic gods? No one dares to open their mouths? Make me a place at the table, or do you want to prove yourself? unhospitable?"
Bragi - the god of poetry stood up "The gods won't give you a place on the table. You're not the kind of person we want to see here"
But Loki ignores Bragi, steps in front of Odin "Do you remember, Odin? That the day we cut blood and sworn brotherhood, you swore you wouldn't drink a drop if this brother ever got thirsty?"
Odin pondered for a moment
then turned to Vidar. "Get up and make room for the Father of the Wolf, Vidar. We don't want to see him messing around in Aegir's palace."
So Vidar gets up, gives up his chair and refills Loki's beer. Loki sat down, sipped his beer, then stood up and said loudly:
"I offer this to the gods, goddesses, all who attend this table. Except for one: that's the prostrate Bragi over there!"
Bragi gritted his teeth, "If you dare cause crazy skull hoodies hatred and provoke the wrath of the gods, I will personally take my warhorse and give you a blow of the sword!"
"Bragi Bragi," said Loki, "You don't have a horse or a sword, and you never will. Of all the gods and elves sitting here, you are the coward. The arrow was fired, you must have urinated behind the shield."
"If we were out there and not in Aegir's palace," said Bragi, "I would have cut off your head from that pathetic body. That's the price you pay for your false lwoifs. just made up!"
"If only you could do what your boastful mouth can say," retorted Loki, "Look at Bragi - as graceful as a bride! If you're angry, why don't you come here and fight? One brother? hero won't waste his words meaninglessly!"
Idunn quickly turned to her husband, "Bragi, I beg you, think of the other gods in this hall. Leave Loki alone. Don't say another insult in Aegir's palace."
